Membership is open to individuals who own, breed or who are active in promoting the welfare of herding dogs. Members must be in good standing with the American Kennel Club and must support the goals of the ABHCWW. There are no residence restrictions for membership, however, the Club's primary purpose is to be representative of the breeders and test and trial exhibitors in the Western Washington area.
OUR MISSION
- Do all that is possible to bring the natural qualities of all herding breeds to perfection.
- Promote and encourage the humane handling of livestock and dogs at all times.
- Protect and advance the interests of all herding breeds and encourage sportsmanlike behavior at all herding tests, trials and competitions.
- Conduct licensed and sanctioned herding tests and trials.
